The Midwest Conference is a conference participating in the NCAA's Division III. It reached its current incarnation in 1994 as the result of a merger between the Midwest Collegiate Athletic Conference, founded 1921, and the Midwest Athletic Conference for Women, which had been sponsoring women's sports since 1977.
