Added by Wagnike2The Pacific Ten Conference (known as the Pac-10) is a conference participating in the NCAA's Division I, with member institutions in Arizona, California, Oregon, and Washington. It was founded in 1915 as the Pacific Coast Conference. In 1959, the conference was dissolved then reformed as the Athletic Association of Western Universities, which was renamed the Pacific Eight Conference in 1968.
The league's membership has been unchanged since the Arizona schools joined in 1978, making it the second most stable conference in major college basketball, behind only the Ivy League (stable since 1954).
